Building a wind tunnel

A classmate and I designed and built a small scale wind tunnel, complete with load cells to measure force and careful designs following many research papers to work out the right dimensions and shapes. I especially took part in the electronics side, and connected multiple ESP32 microcontrollers to AWS IoT, to stream data while the wind tunnel is running. With this, we entered the wind tunnel into Instructables' Build a Tool contest, and won the Judges' Prize.
MK Go Green

This project was for the City of Milton Keynes. This app is designed to help residents remember when to leave out their bins, as well as which bins to leave out on which week. It has had tremendous praise from local residents, giving them quick reminders of their collection days.
WWDC21 Swift Student Challenge

In 2021, I entered Apple's Swift Student Challenge, and won, being 1 of 350 winners. I created an AR Solar System, with the ability to click and learn about each planet. I also implemented a Quiz about the planets in SwiftUI, and the ability to create a custom planet amongst the our Solar System.

I completed the Gold Youth Stemm Award, in which I started a podcast with my friends, called The Unstable Nuclei, covering a range of STEMM topics. Additionally, I led the creation of a novel project for younger students, and ran a range of clubs for STEMM. My entire log is hosted on the above pdf

Wood Work Pal

I designed and developed Wood Work Pal, an app to help CNC users. The app allows the user to enter tool parameters, in order to calculate settings to enter onto CAM software.

In 2020, I utilised the UK Government's COVID-19 API and created a client to display the latest information regarding COVID-19, including the number of cases in a local area.
Instagram Case Study

I envisaged a new Instagram, using SwiftUI, and created an app that fundamentally looks like Instagram but has a fresh UI. This app uses mock data since the Instagram API is closed, however demonstrates how posts, comments and user profiles could look.

About
Hi. I'm Parineet, a passionate student, currently studying Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Physics. I thoroughly enjoy all my subjects and when I'm not studying, I'm often tinkering with my own software projects such as my apps. In recent months, I've been delving into Machine Learning, trying to learn the concepts behind ML models. I also have a huge passion for the Internet of Things and Home Automation, and have completed an Extended Project Qualification on the topic too.
